Clarion Startup Program Terms

Summary

  • The license is free for 12 months from the approval date, or until your first paying customer, or until you raise investment, whichever comes first.
  • 60 days before the term ends, we will email you the terms of the paid plan.
  • Program graduates get 50% off the first year of a paid plan.
  • The model may not be transferred to third parties, published or provided as a service to others.

  1. 1.General provisions

    1. 1.1These terms are a public offer by Clarion (clarion.uz) to startups applying to the program.
    2. 1.2Checking “I accept the program terms” in the application constitutes full acceptance of this version. We record the date of acceptance and the version number.
    3. 1.3New versions apply to new applications. An approved application remains governed by the version accepted at the time of submission.

  2. 2.Eligibility

    1. 2.1The program is for early-stage startups building a product with Uzbek speech recognition.
    2. 2.2Clarion decides on each application. One application per account.

  3. 3.What is provided

    1. 3.1A non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to Clarion models for installation on the participant's server for the duration of the program.
    2. 3.2Access to the model is granted through the Hugging Face account specified in the application.
    3. 3.3Model updates, installation assistance and contact with the team for the duration of the program.

  4. 4.Program term

    1. 4.1The program lasts 12 months from the date the application is approved.
    2. 4.2The program ends earlier if the participant receives its first payment from a customer for a product that uses the model, or raises investment.
    3. 4.3The participant must report the first payment or investment to rustam@clarion.uz within 30 days.

  5. 5.Permitted and prohibited use

    1. 5.1Permitted: development, testing and pilots of the participant's product, including free pilots with customers.
    2. 5.2Prohibited: transferring, selling, sublicensing or publishing the model or its derivative weights.
    3. 5.3Prohibited: providing the model as a service or API to third parties, or using it to train competing models.

  6. 6.After the program

    1. 6.1To continue commercial use, the participant moves to a paid plan: a monthly fee per installation or per customer under a separate contract.
    2. 6.2The email with the pricing is sent 60 days before the end of the term.
    3. 6.3Graduates get 50% off the first year of a paid plan.
    4. 6.4Without a paid plan, updates and support end, and commercial use of the model is prohibited. Testing and non-commercial research remain permitted under the model license.

  7. 7.Participant obligations

    1. 7.1Report where the model makes mistakes and what is missing, at the request of the Clarion team.
    2. 7.2Comply with these terms and with the model license on Hugging Face.

  8. 8.Publicity and data

    1. 8.1We name the participant as a Clarion partner only with the consent given in the application. Consent can be withdrawn by email.
    2. 8.2Application data is used only for the program and is not shared with third parties. It can be deleted on request to rustam@clarion.uz.

  9. 9.Termination and liability

    1. 9.1The participant may leave the program at any time by writing to rustam@clarion.uz.
    2. 9.2If these terms are breached, Clarion may terminate participation early and revoke access to the model after notice by email.
    3. 9.3The model is provided “as is”. Clarion is not liable for any losses arising from its use.
